Downtown Norman is the Main Street district about a mile north of the University of Oklahoma campus, with Campus Corner sitting in between at the north edge of campus. From I-35, the West Main Street exit (exit 109) puts you on Main Street, and you follow it east into downtown. Blue Water Dispensary is at 112 West Main Street, in the heart of that stretch.

    Key facts

    • Where downtown is: Main Street, roughly a mile north of the OU campus. Leafly measures Blue Water Dispensary at 1.0 mile from a point in central campus (Leafly listing).
    • Campus Corner: the commercial district just north of campus, bounded by White Street, University Boulevard, Boyd Street and Asp Avenue (Campus Corner overview).
    • From I-35: exit 109 is West Main Street (iExit exit 109 listing).
    • By bus: EMBARK Norman routes are fare-free, run Monday–Friday 7 AM–10 PM and Saturday 10 AM–7 PM, with no Sunday service (EMBARK Norman).
    • By train: the Norman Amtrak station, the historic Santa Fe Depot, is at 200 South Jones Avenue and is served daily by the Heartland Flyer (Norman station).

How do downtown, Campus Corner and OU fit together?

Think of central Norman as three stacked zones running north to south.

    1. Downtown (Main Street). The older commercial core, with storefronts lining Main Street. This is where Blue Water Dispensary is.
    2. Campus Corner. A compact, college-oriented district about half a mile long, running from White Street and University Boulevard at its northwest end to Boyd Street and Asp Avenue at its southeast end.
    3. The OU campus. Directly south of Campus Corner.

If you're coming from a class or a dorm, you'll pass Campus Corner first on your way north. If you're coming from the interstate, you reach downtown first and campus is farther south.

How do I get to Main Street from I-35?

I-35 runs north–south through Norman. Coming from Oklahoma City, Moore, Purcell or anywhere along the interstate:

    1. Take exit 109, West Main Street.
    2. Head east on Main Street.
    3. Stay on Main Street into downtown. Blue Water Dispensary is at 112 West Main Street.

If you miss the exit, a maps app will route you back to Main Street.

How do I get downtown from the OU campus?

From central campus it's about a mile north to Main Street. Most patients coming from campus use one of three options.

    • Drive or ride. Head north through or past Campus Corner toward Main Street, then turn onto Main. Your maps app will pick the north–south street with the least traffic at that hour.
    • Bike or walk. A mile is manageable on foot or by bike in decent weather. Oklahoma summers are hot, so plan for it.
    • Bus. EMBARK Norman is fare-free. Routes transfer at the Norman Transit Center, 320 East Comanche Street, which replaced the old Brooks Street transfer station. Check the system map on the EMBARK Norman site for the stop nearest your starting point. There's no Sunday bus service.

    Coming in by train

The Heartland Flyer runs daily between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City and stops at the Norman station at 200 South Jones Avenue. The building is the 1909 Santa Fe Depot, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it also houses The Depot arts center. If you're arriving by train, check a map for the short trip to Main Street.

What to bring to a downtown dispensary

The route is the easy part. Before you head out, check that you have:

    • A valid Oklahoma medical marijuana patient or caregiver license from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority.
    • A government-issued photo ID that matches the license.
    • An idea of what you want. Our live menu shows current products, and the deals page is where any current offers are posted.

If this is your first time, our beginner's guide to medical cannabis walks through the basics, and the brands we carry page lists the brands on our shelves, including Moon Dust. Comparing stores near campus? See our ranking of dispensaries near OU.
